The 西萨克拉门托市 is committed to environmental conservation through compliance with State law 和 the diversion of recyclable waste from l和fills. In keeping with 这 commitment, the 市议会 adopted 城市代码、章 8.08.070 和 15.12.040, requiring that a minimum of 65% of Construction 和 Demolition (C&D) debris generated on covered projects be diverted from l和fills.

This requirement applies to all C&D projects started after January 1, 2017 和 that meet at least one of the following criteria:

• New construction, regardless of size or type
• Demolition of a building or structure
• All residential additions 和 alterations that increase a building's conditioned area
• All Non-residential additions 和 alterations

Below is a description of the process for projects that meet the criteria above.
